Duncan Saville founded the ICM Group and its predecessor companies, and has been employed by the Group since 1988. Duncan is a chartered accountant with experience in corporate finance and asset management. He is an experienced non-executive director having previously been a director in multiple companies in the utility, investment, mining and technology sectors. Duncan is currently a Non-Executive Director of Somers Limited, Resimac Group Limited and West Hamilton Holdings Limited. His Fellowships include the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and he is a Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.
Charles Jillings joined ICM in 1995, established ICM Investment Research Limited in 1997 and ICM Investment Management Limited in 2015, and is based in Epsom, UK. Charles is a Director of ICM Limited, ICM Investment Research Limited and ICM Investment Management Limited. Charles qualified as a chartered accountant and has extensive experience in corporate finance and asset management. Charles is responsible for the day to day running of UIL Limited and Utilico Emerging Markets Trust plc, and has over thirty years of experience in international financial markets. Charles was formerly a non-executive director of Utilico Investment Trust plc and Utilico Emerging Markets Limited, and he is an experienced non-executive director. Charles is currently a director of Somers Limited, Waverton Investment Management Limited, Merrion Capital Group, Global Equity Risk Protection Limited and Allectus Capital Limited. Charles graduated from University of Cape Town with a B. Com. and qualified as a South African Chartered Accountant in 1980.
Alasdair Younie joined ICM in 2010, is a Director of ICM Limited and is based in Bermuda. Alasdair has extensive experience in financial markets and corporate finance, and he is responsible for the day to day running of the Somers Group. Alasdair qualified as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and subsequently worked for six years in the corporate finance division of Arbuthnot Securities Limited in London. Alasdair is a Director of Ascendant Group Limited, Bermuda Commercial Bank Limited, Somers Limited, Bermuda First Investment Company Limited, One Communications Limited and West Hamilton Holdings Limited. Alasdair graduated from Bristol University with a BSc in Economics and Economic History in 1998, and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Alastair Moreton joined ICM in 2017 to provide company secretarial services to UIL Limited and Utilico Emerging Markets Trust plc, and is based in Epsom, UK. He has over thirty years’ experience in corporate finance with Samuel Montagu, HSBC and Arbuthnot Securities, and earlier qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen. Prior to joining ICM, Alastair worked at Stockdale Securities where he was responsible for the company’s closed end fund corporate clients.
Alexandra Giles joined ICM in 2016 as an Analyst based in Sydney, Australia. She has over five years’ experience in accounting and financial analysis experience in mortgage securitisation and technology investing. She worked as an Executive in Securitisation at RESIMAC, with a focus on cash flow distributions, reporting and treasury. Alexandra is a member of the Allectus Capital technology investment team, where her role involves completing due diligence, and financial and board reporting. Alexandra graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Professional Accounting from the University of New South Wales in 2012.
Alison Carthew joined ICM in 2018 as a Human Resources Manager, and is based in Singapore. She has over fifteen years' experience in Human Resource (HR) generalist roles in Australia, USA, UK and Azerbaijan. She worked as the Manager, HR Consulting for HBF Health Inc in Perth, Australia for four years, and subsequently as HR Manager for CashStar in Portland, Maine, USA for two years. Prior to joining ICM she was self-employed providing HR consultancy services to Australian companies on international HR issues including recruitment, employment contracts, work visas and employee relations. Alison is responsible for providing HR advice and support to ICM offices globally and graduated with a Bachelor of Business degree with Distinction from Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia in 1993.
Amalia Carmelitano joined ICM in 2007, working as a Research Support Analyst based in Epsom, UK. Amalia previously worked for a security company, where she led and trained a team in Finance, and as a Security Auditor. She has over fifteen years of experience working in finance. Amalia is responsible for the production of UIL Limited and Utilico Emerging Markets Trust plc report & accounts, interims and presentations.
Andrew Nowell joined ICM in 2016 as a Financial Accountant and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. He has over ten years of experience in the financial services sector, including financial accounting, audit, project management and insurance. In addition to this he has six years of marketing and sales experience in both South Africa and Tanzania. Most recently he worked at TMF Group as the Financial Manager for the South African subsidiary, primarily overseeing the accounting function and group reporting. Andrew is the Financial Accountant responsible for a group of oil and gas companies managed by ICM. Andrew graduated with both a B-Compt degree from UNISA and Articles at Nolands Incorporated in 2013, and he graduated with a Computer Science Diploma from CTI in 2001. He is currently completing a Law degree from UNISA, due for completion in 2020.
Catherine Roskrow joined ICM in 2013 and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. Prior to this, she had seven years of experience in bookkeeping, tax and payroll services while working at FMG Chartered Accountants and BAJ Consulting. At ICM Corporate Services (Pty) Ltd, Catherine continues her role as Accountant to a number of international companies. She graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting Science Degree from UNISA in 2015.
Chaea Nicol joined the ICM in 2017 as the UK Financial Accountant for Utilico Emerging Markets Trust plc and UIL Limited. She has over ten years of experience working in finance across insurance and investment sectors. Prior to joining ICM, Chaea consulted on investment operations strategy and led teams responsible for investment accounting and operations at MS Amlin, Lloyds Banking Group, Brit Insurance and Aon Insurance Managers. Chaea is qualified as a CPA and CGMA, and is a CISI UK Financial Regulations certificate holder.
Chris Baker joined ICM in 1994 and works for ICM Investment Research Limited. Chris has been part of ICM’s development in the UK since its inception, and has a background in accountancy with commercial experience that includes travel, hotels and property. He is a chartered secretary and deals with Company Secretarial and human resources for the unlisted UK companies. Chris has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators since 1980.
Conor Spencer joined ICM in 2013 as a Fixed Income Analyst based in Dublin, Ireland. Conor has over nine years of experience working in international financial markets and prior to joining ICM, Conor worked as a Senior Credit Research Analyst and Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Dexia S.A. Previous to that he worked within the Treasury Department of Anglo Irish Bank where his roles included helping to manage the liquidity of the bank as well as conducting bank and structured credit research and analysis. Conor supports Gavin Blessing on the fixed income portfolios managed by ICM. Conor has lectured in Management Science and Statistics in the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), and holds an honours degree in Management Science and French from DIT. In addition, he has two post-graduate diplomas in Applied Computing from the University of Limerick and DIT.
Daniel Opperman joined ICM in 2018 as an Internal Auditor based in Cape Town, South Africa. He has twenty years’ experience in external and internal audit; the last seven of which he headed up the internal audit department of a multi-national transport and logistics company before joining ICM. Daniel will assist ICM Group companies to improve their internal control processes in project as well as business-as-usual environments. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of South Africa (Unisa) with majors in Accounting and Auditing in 2002 and he qualified as a Certified Internal Auditor.
Dugald Morrison has been involved with ICM and its predecessor companies since 1994 and is responsible for ICM NZ Limited, based in Wellington. Dugald is an experienced investment analyst, having worked in stockbroking, investment banking and investment management firms in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States since 1987. Dugald is focused on the Resources sector worldwide. Dugald is a Director of RESIMAC Financial Services Limited and Brightwater Group Limited. Dugald graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 1991 with BCA (Hons) and is a Member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
Duncan Gutsche joined ICM as a Financial Accountant since 2009 and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. He has twenty years of experience in the financial services sector, including asset management, banking, retirement fund management and project management. Prior to this, he worked at Old Mutual Corporate Solutions, in the financial management of project implementations and the administration, and pricing of corporate retirement solutions. Duncan is the accountant for various international entities managed by ICM Limited. Duncan is a qualified as a Chartered Accountant and completed the Chartered Financial Analyst exams in 2004.
Eduardo Greca joined ICM in 2010 as a Latam Investment Strategist, based in Colombia since 2018 (previously in Brazil from 2012). Eduardo has over ten years of investment research experience, and prior to joining ICM, he worked for the commodities risk management team at Kraft Foods. Eduardo supports the ICM team on Latin American equity and fixed income investments, and he is responsible for the Stock Exchange sector worldwide with an emphasis on Emerging Markets. Eduardo obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics at the Federal University of Parana in 2009, is a CFA Charterholder, and a Member of the CFA Society in Brazil.
Eilis Boland-Smith joined the ICM Group in 2002 and is based in Epsom, UK. Prior to joining ICM, Eilis worked for a number of large organisations including ING Barings and American Express. Eilis is Charles Jillings’ Personal Assistant
Elton Pereira joined ICM in 2018 as an IT Specialist, and is based in our office in Epsom, UK. Originally from Brazil, he has over ten years’ IT experience working within the financial sector, from hedge funds to private equity companies in the UK. Elton possess several certifications: MCSA, MCSE, MCTS Prince2, CCENT and MCITP.
Franci Van der Walt joined ICM as a Financial Accountant since 2011 and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. Prior to joining ICM, he has worked for Deloitte Munich and London in audit, after which he worked at McDonald’s Europe and McDonald’s UK as a Financial Reporting Manager. In 2008 he returned to South Africa and was responsible for the finances of a retail advertising and marketing group. Franci is the accountant for ICM Limited and related group entities. Franci graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy Honours degree from the University of Stellenbosch, and he qualified as a chartered accountant in 2001 after completing his articles with Deloitte in Cape Town.
Gavin Ball joined ICM in 2009 and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. Prior to joining ICM, he was a Senior Transfer Pricing Consultant at Price Waterhouse Coopers in Cape Town and KPMG London. Gavin is focused on the development of Key Performance Indicators across a number of ICM's investment sectors, specifically analysis of the Somers Limited investee companies. He has a Master’s Degree in Economics from Stellenbosch University (South Africa), where he lectured in Economics.
Gavin Blessing joined ICM in 2012 as a Fixed Income Analyst based in Dublin, Ireland. He has over twenty years' experience, mostly in the corporate fixed income markets, both investment grade and high yield. He worked as a Credit Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in London for ten years, and subsequently as Head of Credit Origination at ISTC in Dublin, Ireland. Prior to joining ICM he was the Head of Bond Credit Research at Canaccord Genuity in Dublin. Gavin is responsible for the fixed income portfolios managed by ICM. Gavin graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin, Ireland in 1992. He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and he is a CFA Charterholder.
Greg Reid joined ICM in 2014, and he is employed as a consultant based in Ireland. His responsibilities include management of finance and risk at Somers Limited. Prior to joining ICM, Greg was the Chief Financial Officer of Bermuda Commercial Bank Limited. Previous to that he was the Controller with a Bermuda based provider of accounting services to the hedge fund industry, and he has a number of years’ experience in the auditing industry with the accounting firm Deloitte in Ireland. Greg is currently a Director of ICM Capital Research Limited, and the Pentagon Global Diversified Bond Fund. He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, and he holds an honours degree in Business Studies from the University of Limerick, Ireland.
Greg Segers joined ICM in 2008 as a Financial Accountant, and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. He has over twenty five years of experience working in the finance sector as a financial and management accountant. Prior to this, he was the financial accountant for the Angel Group of companies in England, Poland and Cyprus. Greg is the fund accountant for Somers Limited and Zeta Resources Limited. Greg graduated from the University of South Africa with a Bachelor of Accounting Science Honours degree, and he holds an Honours degree in Taxation.
Jacqueline Broers joined ICM in 2010 as a Senior Equity Analyst for ICM Investment Research Limited and ICM Investment Management Limited, based in Epsom, UK. Prior to joining the ICM Group, Jacqueline worked in the Corporate Finance team at Lehman Brothers and Nomura. Jacqueline is focused on the Transport sector worldwide with particular emphasis on Emerging Markets. Jacqueline is a qualified chartered accountant, and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Jason Cheong joined ICM in 2016 as a Portfolio Manager based in Sydney, Australia. He has eight years’ experience in private equity, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions law in Australia and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining ICM, he was an investment manager at Brookfield Asset Management, covered financial sponsors in a boutique investment bank, and a corporate lawyer at Baker & McKenzie. Jason is the Portfolio Manager for the Allectus Capital technology fund, and is responsible for ICM’s global technology investing activities. Jason graduated from the University of New South Wales with first class honours in 2009, and holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce. He is a qualified solicitor, admitted to practice in Australia.
Jeanette Prowse joined ICM in 2013 as an Executive Administrator based in New Zealand and has been working for the wider group since 2010. She has over twenty five years of experience in administration primarily in the private sector within New Zealand and has secretarial and corporate governance experience for New Zealand and Australian companies. Her role at ICM NZ Limited includes administrative and research functions for both the New Zealand office and the wider ICM team.
Jeremy Campling joined ICM in 2002 and is based at Epsom, UK. As Director for Property he deals with all the property matters across the ICM group, which include investment, development and occupational interests. Prior to joining ICM, he spent ten years at Jones Lang LaSalle, one of the largest global real estate consultancies, advising clients in a range of areas. Jeremy obtained a BSc (Hons) in Physics from the University of Exeter, a Post Graduate Diploma in Estate Management from South Bank University, London, and he is a fully qualified member of the RICS.
Jeslyn Tan Hui Kim joined ICM in 2014 as an Administrative Assistant, based in Singapore. She completed her Business Administration diploma at Singapore Polytechnic in 2016, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Accountancy degree at Singapore Management University.
Jonathan Chi joined ICM in 1997 and established the Singapore office in 2000 where he is currently based. He has over twenty five years of experience in accounting and investment management. Previously he was an auditor with Deloitte, and then Greenwood Challoner, where he qualified as a chartered accountant in 1994. Jonathan supports the ICM team on Asian investments with a particular focus on South East Asia. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, a Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors and a Director of ICM Research Pte Ltd.
Jonathan Groocock joined the ICM Group in 2011 as a Senior Equity Analyst for ICM Investment Research Limited and ICM Investment Management Limited based in Epsom, UK. Jonathan has over nine years of experience in sell side equity research, and prior to joining ICM, he was responsible for covering telecoms stocks at Investec. Jonathan is focused on the Utilities sector worldwide with particular emphasis on Emerging Markets. Jonathan qualified as a CFA Charterholder in 2005, and is a Member of the CFA Society of the UK.
Jonathan Oscroft joined ICM as a Financial Analyst in 2014 and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. He has over thirteen years of financial modelling and financial management experience, eight of which he worked as an independent consultant. Major clients during this time included the Royal Bank of Scotland, Old Mutual and Standard Bank. Prior to joining the ICM Group, he was CFO at Sir Juice (Pty) Ltd for three years. Jonathan uses his modelling knowledge to assist ICM Limited in managing and analysing investee companies. Jonathan graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town and qualified as a chartered accountant after completing his articles with Ernst & Young, Cape Town.
Julie Laffy joined ICM in 2012 as a Regional Business Manager based in Singapore. She has over fifteen years of global financial services and payments experience. Julie works with the ICM team on a range of investments with a particular focus on fintech sector worldwide, and is the Head of Marketing for the ICM Group. Julie completed a Business degree from ACU, Australia in 2002, and her EMBA from Temple University, Singapore in 2015. She is a Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors, the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and the Australian Institute of Management.
Kent Stocken joined ICM in 2018 as an Accountant, and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. She has over three years’ experience in auditing while completing her articles at KPMG Cape Town. Kent graduated with a B Accounting Honours degree from Stellenbosch University in 2014. Kent became a Member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2018.
Kim Rothwell joined ICM in 2014 as an Administrator and is based in Epsom, UK. She has over twenty five years of experience working within the Security Services and Insurance Industry. Prior to joining ICM, she was a Business Assistant for Bluefin Insurance Services for eight years, and subsequently as an Executive PA for two Board Directors at G4S. Kim qualified with a Secretarial RSA Diploma at Carshalton College of Further Education.
Luigi Lupini joined ICM in 2017 as an IT Specialist, based in Cape Town, South Africa. He has thirteen years’ experience working in IT, including five years as a principle engineer where he supported next generation datacentre customers including Direct Axis, Engen, and PEP. Luigi supports the Head of IT in resolving complex business-related IT matters. Luigi holds leading vendor certification comprising of Virtualization (VCP-DCV/MCSE), Cloud (AWS), Hyper-converged and Storage technologies (HPMASE), and he holds a Diploma from Torque IT in Advanced System Engineering and Networking.
Mark Lebbell joined ICM in 2000 and is a Senior Equity Analyst for ICM Investment Research Limited and ICM Investment Management Limited, based in Epsom, UK. Prior to joining the ICM Group, Mark worked for five years as an engineer developing digital television technology. Mark has assisted managing Utilico Emerging Markets Trust plc and UIL Limited since their inception, prior to that the Utilico Investment Trust plc between 2003 and 2007, and The Special Utilities Investment Trust PLC for three years to August 2003. Mark is focused on the Communications sector worldwide with particular emphasis on Emerging Markets. Mark has a Masters of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Birmingham, and he is an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
Martinique Johnson joined ICM in 2016 as a Bookkeeper based in Cape Town, South Africa. She has over eight years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, tax and payroll services. Prior to joining ICM, she worked as an Accountant at Sable International, a UK based company who offers professional services in accounting, wealth management, immigration advice, facilitating international money transfers and advice on working regulations and legal structures in the UK. Martinique graduated with a National Higher Certificate in Accountancy at The Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 2006.
Matthew Gould joined ICM in 2018 as Head of Emerging Technology, based in Sydney, Australia. He has experience across a range of emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, and Fin Tech. Most recently he was CEO of Arria NLG, a publicly traded AI software company in London. Matthew was with Hewlett Packard (HP) from 2001 to 2009 where he led the Asia-Pac Emerging Technologies practice, before transferring to Silicon Valley as the Chief Strategy Officer for HP’s Professional Services division. Matthew was also on HP America’s M&A committee and had a role in identifying and qualifying acquisition targets. Matthew has degrees in Theology & Comparative Religion (Hons), and Literary Theory (Hons) from Canterbury University; and a MBA, Finance and Corporate Strategy from Otago University in 1995. He is a registered financial advisor and member of the Institute of Directors, New Zealand.
Nadia Nash joined ICM in 2016 as a bookkeeper based in Cape Town, South Africa. She has over seventeen years’ experience in financial services, including financial management, asset management, banking and retirement funds management. Prior to joining ICM, she was a Financial Manager at Taquanta Investment Holdings, and was responsible for the financial management of the three subsidiaries in Asset Management, JSE Listed and Forex. Prior to this, she worked as a Senior Fund Accountant with Board of Executors, Nedbank and Old Mutual Investment Administrators. Nadia graduated with a Diploma in Management and Financial Management from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa in 1988.
Nadine Francis joined ICM in 2015 as a Financial Accountant, and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. She has over six years’ experience in auditing while completing her articles at Alliott Andersen Nell, Inc. Nadine graduated with a BTech: Internal Auditing degree from Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 2009, and she is currently completing a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree from UNISA, due for completion in 2019.
Natalie Ball joined ICM in 2011 and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. She has a background in Design and Advertising working for corporate companies such as Old Mutual South Africa, Jupiter Asset Management and JP Morgan Chase in London. Natalie assists with ICM Limited marketing, and for the day to day running of the Cape Town office. Natalie obtained her National Higher Diploma in Graphic Design and Marketing from Cape Technikon in 1993.
Ricardo Dos Reis Gouveia joined ICM in 2013 and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. Prior to joining ICM, he worked for the finance department for Global Voice Group, a telecommunications management company in Africa. Ricardo is the Accountant for Utilico Emerging Markets Mauritius and ICM Research Pte Ltd. Ricardo obtained his Honours Degree in Accounting Science and completed his articles with Grant Thornton in 2012.
Ross Wilding joined ICM in 2012 as an Equity Analyst working for ICM Investment Research Limited and ICM Investment Management Limited, based in Epsom, UK. Prior to joining ICM, he worked as an investment analyst at wealth manager Optima Financial (now part of Ingenious). Ross is focused on the financial services sector worldwide with particular emphasis on the Somers Limited investments. Ross completed his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management, Chicago in 2012, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Sandra Pope joined ICM in 1999 and is based in Epsom, UK. She has over twenty five years of experience in corporate finance. Prior to joining ICM, Sandra worked in corporate finance at Deloitte Haskins & Sells, Hill Samuel Bank and Close Brothers. She is a Director of ICM Investment Management Limited and ICM Investment Research Limited, ICM's fully owned UK subsidiary which focuses on research and analysis. She is also a director of several private companies including Harlequins Football Club Ltd, and Stockdale Securities Limited. Sandra is a qualified chartered accountant, and holds the Securities & Investment Institute Certificate of Corporate Finance.
Santiago Mendez joined ICM in 2017 as an Equity Analyst based in Epsom, UK. He has over three years' experience as a research analyst, and prior to joining ICM he worked in the dividend forecasting team at IHS Markit in London. Santiago supports the senior analysts, across multiple sectors. Santiago obtained a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2013, and a MSc in Finance from University of Durham in 2014.
Shaun Sangster joined ICM in 2016 as Head of Compliance, working for ICM Investment Management Limited and ICM Investment Research Limited, based in Epsom, UK. Shaun has worked in the financial services arena for over seventeen years, specialising in compliance over the last ten years. Prior to joining ICM, Shaun worked in senior compliance roles at The Royal Bank of Scotland and Emirates NBD, based in the UAE and UK. Shaun is responsible for the oversight of compliance for ICM, and he holds a BA (Hons) degree in Financial Services.
She Ling Lim joined ICM in 2018 as an Executive Administrator, based in our Singapore office. She Ling has over eighteen years of experience in a wide variety of roles including fund accounting, financial reporting, administration and human resources. She Ling works with the ICM team to provide local accounting and administrative functions for the Singapore office as well as investee companies located in Singapore. Prior to joining ICM, she worked at Mapletree Investments, LaSalle Investment Management (Asia), and Vistra. She Ling holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
Stephen Holland joined ICM in 2016 as a Product Specialist, and is based in Dublin, Ireland. Stephen has over twenty years of experience working in global investment management across a range of business management, strategic and client facing roles, including leading the business development team for Bank of Ireland Asset Management in North America. Subsequent to this role, Stephen worked at Abbey Capital, a Dublin-based hedge fund focused on managed futures and global macro strategies. Prior to joining ICM, Stephen was a Director at KKR and worked as part of KKR's Client & Partner Group in Europe. Stephen has a B.A. in Economics from University College Cork, Ireland, and an MBA from Fordham University, New York. Stephen is a member of the Society of Investment Professionals in Ireland, and a Member of the CFA Institute. He has a Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors in Ireland, and is currently a Director of Pentagon Global Diversified Bond Fund (Alternate).
Stephen Kreuger has been associated with the ICM Group since 2013 and is the Head of IT, based in Australia. He is an IT specialist with experience managing medium-sized corporate offices in a geographically distributed environment. Prior to this, Stephen worked in the financial sector as a financial analyst and asset manager for eight years. Stephen graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Business Science Economics (Hons) degree in 2004, and an MSc in Property Studies in 2009.
Tania George joined ICM in 2018 as a Company Secretarial Administrator, and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. She has fifteen years experience in a wide variety of roles including assistant company secretary and paralegal within the corporate legal and company compliance spheres. Tania has worked for a number of large organisations including Deloitte, Woolworths, Engen and Media24. She graduated with a Business Computing Diploma from Damelin College, has a Paralegal and Compliance Management certification from the University of Cape Town, and is currently studying towards her Bachelor of Laws Degree through the University of South Africa.
Tracey Merckel joined ICM in 2017 as an Investment and Regulatory Accountant based in Cape Town, South Africa. Prior to joining ICM, Tracey was a Financial Manager and temporary Compliance Officer at IP Management Company (RF) (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town. Tracey is responsible for the investment and regulatory reporting of Bermuda Commercial Bank. She graduated with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Applied Accounting Sciences from University of South Africa in 2015, and completed her articles at Watson Incorporated in 2015. She is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of South Africa.
Tristan Kingcott joined ICM in 2018 as an Equity Analyst based in Wellington, New Zealand. Tristan has over seven years’ experience in financial and commercial analysis, and prior to joining ICM, has performed various roles, including Manager of Corporate Development at Ferus Inc., an oil & gas services company based in Western Canada. Tristan is focused on the resources sector, with an emphasis on North America. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from the University of Alberta, Canada, and he is a CFA Charterholder.
Warren Redcliffe joined ICM in 2017 as the Head of Legal based in Cape Town, South Africa. He has over eighteen years’ experience working as a regulatory/commercial lawyer. Prior to joining ICM, Warren practiced as in-house commercial counsel for various large corporates in the UK for eight years, before returning to South Africa where he worked for Old Mutual South Africa as Senior Legal Advisor, and the Barclays Group as the Regional Head of Legal. Warren graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Masters in Commercial Law and completed his articles of clerkship with Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr. Warren is admitted to the Roll of Attorneys in South Africa, and is a qualified Solicitor of the High Court of England and Wales.
Werner Van Kets has been associated with the ICM Group since 2007 and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. He heads up the Cape Town office which provides accounting and other corporate support services across the group. Prior to joining ICM, he worked at Credit Suisse in London on the Convertible Arbitrage desk. On returning to South Africa in 2004, he started an accounting consultancy which was acquired by ICM in 2014. He is a Director of ICM Corporate Services (Pty) Ltd and Utilico Emerging Markets (Mauritius). Werner graduated with a Bachelor of Business Science (Finance) degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and is a qualified Chartered Accountant, having served articles at Deloitte.
Yolandi van der Mescht joined ICM in 2016 as an Administrative Assistant, and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. Prior to joining ICM, she had three years’ experience in insurance while working as a Broker Assistant at RT Specialty, LLC in Chicago, and one and a half years’ experience at Moore Stephens WK as an assistant to the secretarial supervisor. Yolandi graduated from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University with a Bachelor Commerce in Sport and Recreation Management in 2006, and a Bachelor Commerce Honours in Business Management in 2009.
